Is it normal to be more prone to acne when you're pregnant?

Pregnancy can trigger acne or make existing adult acne worse. (On the other hand, some women with acne-prone skin report a decrease in breakouts during pregnancy.)


Doctors are unanimous: Acne in pregnancy is usually the unpredictable evolution. Although there is a hyperactivity of the sebaceous glands that period, the problem is not frequent. On the contrary, some women even report improvement in skin conditions. This is because the disease is multi-factorial, is, a set of hereditary aspects, genetic and hormonal factors that determine the predisposition of women to present it.
 
For those who torment acne resolved at this stage of life, the advice is to have patience. The consolation is that, during the period of breastfeeding, everything begins to return to normal.
